And that is the rub.........majic marbles and special rain dance voodoo... I sense BS from some of the reviewers who promote such things...... and take any further reviews from them with a grain of salt....
Wasn't there someone marbles in a mason jar a few years ago, and some audiophools were just creamin' their jeans? Also someone was selling crystals to place in specific places in your room? where do they dram this stuff up?
Seems like some just like to drink the Kool-Aid...... Me, I would prefer to go thirsty... :^) !
But one can do what with their money as they want..... I try and keep mine in my pocket!!
I need to come up with some gimmic and get the reviewers to go gaa gaa over it and rake in the $$$$$.

As an aside I visited a friend once who wanted me to hear his new interconnects. They were very nice looking with that colored plastic wrap and all. I asked him what they did for his system. He replied "They add a totally new level of sound." I felt a lump in one end and when I pulled back the fancy wrapping there was a capacitor in the positive lead. I told him as I slipped the wrapping back in place "I'm sure it does alter the sound." BTW these were very expensive cables made by one of the major names in that industry.
One other thing I've noticed. This is the only forum where the majority of the posters don't buy into the magic phone call type of BS. Well except for Feesh. :) Go to most any forum and critique cables and other assorted tweaks and you will quickly find you are run out of Dodge.

C'mon, You should have at least hinted to why the cables "changed" his sound..... I would hope any good friend would do so... I know that just saying "These cables suck for such-n-such reason" wouldn't work, but man ,, I would have at least said something to him,,lol......
Does he still have those expensive cables???

No, he has found a more expensive pair more to his liking. No capacitors in them but they don't sound much different than his originals to me. Course that's a long time to remember anything for me. :)Quote:

No problem - but there are some "things" that CAN be measured very well . . . :-)
